Celebrate the Small Things

Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly bloghop now hosted by Lexa Cain. The idea is to post anything you want to celebrate from the last week, no matter how small.

This week I'm celebrating:

- A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas. It's a huge book, and I finished it in 5 days, which is quite good since I've been at work. I stayed up until 1.30 Sunday morning reading it; something I haven't done in a long time!

- Coffee - I'm really appreciating it this week!

- I've been teaching myself to play the piano, and it's going quite well - there's nothing like creating music with your own hands.

Comments

  1. I've always fancied playing the piano, must be lovely. Hope the practise goes well. There is nothing like a great book . . . you want to read it fast and yet you don't want it to end!

  2. I'm a musician and yes, it's special to be able to create one's own music.

  3. I'm envious of anyone who can play an instrument, let alone teach themselves! Maybe a video on your blog soon?

  5. Well done on your piano lessons. And I love the satisfaction of finishing a bulky book in record time.

  6. Congratulations on learning to play the piano. I played a little, but was never good at it. In fact, I think my teacher retired after teaching me for a short time. Maybe I'm responsible, yipes. We celebrate coffee all the time. We love it. Happy weekend.

  8. Piano is my personal favorite. It's a great way to let out those emotions and be carried away.

  10. It's great to finish large books. Hope you finish another large book by next month. I myself find it a challenge to read anything over 400 books so I try to save those ones to listen on audio book. My current book:The Mercedes Killer by Stephen King.

  11. I loved Sarah's first couple books. Haven't read the later ones though. They got too...grown up for me.

Way to go with piano! Keep at it. There was nothing better when I was in high school and I just needed a release. Sitting down and letting the fingers take over was medicine to the soul.
